Why blogging is important?

The world is rapidly changing and up until we surely can agree that we live in constant motion whilst many moments are carved into history, ultimately defining our future in ways that we not yet understand. Things are moving digital now. The traditional way of writing pieces is slowly dying. With the use of blog as a journalism student it can work on your favor to engage with your audience on the comments.

Reports as “There are number of things that makes blogging for students journalists important, especially because blogging is now part of the media mainstream and a viable source for news stories, opinions etc. Blogging allows students journalist the opportunity to write, produce content and to publish to an audience quite freely and whenever they want. It gives them the opportunity to be more experiment and have a free choice about the what they cover.” (Mlambo,2017)

Perceives report as “A blog for a student is important in so many ways, firstly from your first year of varsity if you write regularly that will sharpen your writing skills. Secondly you will develop a niche which will help you get a following of people who like and enjoy the same things you do, thirdly a blog will act as your portfolio and lastly the it is what your future employer might look at in order for him/her to hire you. (Mbewana,2018)

Blogging helps when it comes to making your voice heard. You choose everything you want to write about without being dictated. You brand yourself as a student journalist. Blogging is a powerful weapon when you are targeting to increase the traffic on your website and not just traffic; best portion of audience you can ever target.

Blogging can allow journalists to post continuously about events and news happening at the moment, readers can get quick and short news updates, furthermore the post are merely to petite to have to be edited and touched up to perfection. Blogging allows journalists to get news out fast. This shows the great things blogging can do for journalism today.

The zama zama attack By Qaqamba Matundu South Africa’s cost-of-living has worsened over the past ten years. SA economy shrunk below the size of what it was prior to the Covid-19 pandemic struck in the pandemic in the second quarter hit by damaging floods and severe power outages. That is why most South Africans decided to stage a protest over so many crises that include electricity crisis, high cost of living, high crime level involving illegal immigrants. On a Wednesday morning, 14 September, it was confirmed that the bodies of at least six suspected zama zama illegal miners were found badly wounded at the Maraisburg highway offramp. It is suspected that the zama zama infighting resulted to the attack.
